The cute and cuddly pet of fifth-grader Laura, Hamtaro is a golden hamster with an insatiable curiosity.
Together with the "Ham-Ham Friends," a bunch of hamsters as clever and unique as Hamtaro himself, Hamtaro lives each day as a whole new adventure...complete with fun, excitement, and friendship.

Brandy
Brandy is Laura’s family’s dog. He is a faithful friend of the Ham-Hams, and is always ready to help them when they get into trouble.
Noel
Noel is Stan’s owner. He is a college student, and he likes Hillary.
Hillary
Sandy’s owner is Hillary. Both Sandy and her owner like to do rhythmic gymnastics.
June
June is the owner of Pashmina. She is best friends with Kylie, the owner of Penelope.
Kylie
Penelope’s owner is Kylie. She’s best friends with Pashmina’s owner, June.
Kana
This is Kana, the owner of Oxnard, with her parents. Kana was Laura’s first friend in town, and lives next door to Laura and her family.
Laura
This is Laura, Hamtaro’s owner, with her father and mother. Laura is in the 5th grade, and she really likes her classmate Travis.
Travis
Travis doesn’t have a hamster – he is Laura’s classmate, and she has a crush on him. Travis is a good soccer player.
Maria
Maria’s Ham-Ham is Bijou. They used to live in France. She likes to play the piano.
